Moriah Kearney, Ph.D.
Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Moriah Kearney received her Ph.D. in school psychology from Georgia State University (2021). She completed her predoctoral internship at Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District in Houston, Texas (2017 – 2018) and worked as a school psychologist in K-12 public schools for several years. Dr. Kearney completed her postdoctoral fellowship at The Children’s Assessment Center, with a focus on supporting children and adolescents with significant trauma histories.
Dr. Kearney has worked with individuals across the lifespan in an array of settings including private practice, community mental health agencies, and schools. She specializes in supporting adults, adolescents, and children with anxiety, eating disorders, body image concerns, OCD, trauma, and depression. She has extensive training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for trauma and eating disorders, family based therapy (FBT) for eating disorders, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and exposure and response prevention (ERP). She is currently working toward certification as an eating disorder specialist.
Dr. Kearney understands the importance of working as part of a multidisciplinary team, and often partners with parents and other professionals involved in clients’ care. She prioritizes creating nonjudgmental and trusting relationships with clients as they work to achieve their goals.
Dr. Kearney is fully licensed to practice in New York and Texas.
