Daria Ebneter, Ph.D., CEDS
Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Daria Ebneter received her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa (2013). Prior to attending the University of Hawai'i, she earned her diploma (equivalent to a Master’s degree) in psychology from the University of Osnabrück in Germany (2007) as well as an undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Göttingen, Germany (2003). Dr. Ebneter completed a pre-doctoral internship as well as a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine (2012-2015), with an emphasis on behavioral medicine.
Dr. Ebneter has extensive training in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and has worked with individuals across the lifespan. During her graduate training, Dr. Ebneter conducted research in the eating disorder field and has published and presented on topics related to eating and weight disorders. Dr. Ebneter is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) through iaedp and has received specialized training in Family-Based Treatment for Anorexia Nervosa (FBT). She is also trained in and experienced with CBT for insomnia (CBT-I), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and habit reversal training (HRT). At Union Square Cognitive Therapy, she brings her clinical experience and expertise to treat patients with eating disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), depression, and insomnia.
Dr. Ebneter is fully licensed to practice in New York, North Carolina, and Oregon.
